Lately I've been trying to make more of an effort to spend time with great people and people who make me happy which is something I've been doing for most of my life unconsciously but as I know I could definitely be happier I'm now making it a conscious doing and I honestly think it's going quite well. 

I think you should surround yourself with people who inspire you, and make you want to create beautiful things, this is what was so lovely about doing the photoshoot for this blog post. I met up with Lydia Maycock in the Northern Quarter in Manchester, I had never met her before and I had such a lovely time. She has an amazing eye for good photos and I'm so grateful for all of these and considering we had never met, I had such a nice time and felt so excited about writing this post.

The best things about spending time at home in Stockport include being so close to Manchester, spending time with my family (who all inspire me in different ways) and most importantly of all, being able to steal my mum's coats. We bought this vintage number in Hopkinson near the station in Nottingham for my little sister though it is mainly worn by my mother and I have now formed quite the attachment to it... 

I love how light it is and how it contrasts so nicely with the blacks and greys of my outfit, as well as bringing out the orange in the trousers. Both the trousers and the body were bought in the Zara sale and I love them both. I've never been keen on crepe anything because I think it feels weird but I have made an exception for these trousers. They're an interesting shape with I like because they're not too tight and are super comfy and slouchy while also being quite smart.

My love for Manchester will always be a big part of who I am I think. I've been brought up to be quite proud of my city and I do completely adore it. I think it inspires me more than some people do which is impressive for a place. I have so many memories dotted about there so whenever I'm back and I go into town it is very very nostalgic and peaceful despite the loudness and busyness that it always seems to carry. It's also home to a lot of the people I love and have loved and that isn't something I will ever ignore or forget.
