Denim Pinafore.. Again

This past week has been interesting, my family went away for 5 days and I spent my week looking after the chickens which was surprisingly very fun! I did want some pictures of the chickens for this post but they aren't the most cooperative of pets when it comes to staying still! Our chickens are called Erika, Barbara and Sheila and they are hilarious and lovely and this week was really fun!

I'm rarely impressed with my own make up, especially eyeliner but today I feel like I've done my eyeliner really really well and I also feel like putting a bit of blusher through the crease of my eye looks really pretty and like I put a lot more effort into my make up than I actually did.

I where this denim pinafore way too often, I Think it's just my go-to dress when I don't know what to wear because it looks good with a plain t shirt or a pretty blouse it's just so easy and also possibly the best thing in my wardrobe, only costing me £5 and being worn so often it's definitely not something I'll be growing tired of any time soon!

My family decided to get me some very peculiar gifts from their holiday including the socks in this post but also the artichoke... they also got me a candle, some stickers, a vintage dress and a beetroot which is possibly the weirdest mix of gifts to be given although they are all lovely and it was very sweet of them. I plan on having the artichoke on pizza tonight and I'm sure it'll be really good, they picked both this and the beetroot up at a national trust place they visited where they were selling homegrown veggies and apparently my sister thought this the perfect present for a vegan.

After seeing something I retweeted on twitter, my boyfriend John bought me a bouquet of sunflowers which are featured in this post, I absolutely adore sunflowers,I think they're just so happy and pretty and they're always somewhere half way between dying and living and for some reason I just think that's beautiful.

I hope everyones having a good summer so far!
