Two Worlds Away

Not the greatest blog post I'll ever do but I thought it'd be cute, mostly just for me to look at and pretend to be nostalgic but looking through photos from when I was a lot younger (even just a year ago I was so different) is really interesting. It's weird that the new born baby in the first few photos is me and that I know everything that will happen to that baby to make her me and that's kind of amazing.

The title of this post is also the title of a song from Nina Nesbitt's album peroxide (which I am in love with) and I just think the lyrics to this song are so accurate because although you're always the same person I think you're also always two worlds away from who you were and who you'll be which I think is beautiful  and makes the world seem a lot better. If I had the same aspirations as 3 year old me I'd want to be a firefighter which at the time seemed like the best job I could have and looking back I'm glad that's what I wanted but I am glad to not have the same world views and dreams I had when I was 3 because the world changes and so do we.

I'm thinking about all of this because I'll be 18 next week and it feels like such an odd point in my life, I'm definitely not an adult nor a child anymore and disregarding the stress I'm under currently, I'm proud to be who I am for my age as well as hoping I'm not still like this when I'm 24.
