I'm all for menswear, this definitely is not news, and menswear, it can be argued, is often made for practicality and therefore used to be 'manufactured with the battlefield in mind' and military style has definitely stuck and made it's stamp on both men's and women's fashion. The masculinity of the straight lines and bold shapes in combination with block colour is so pleasing to admire.

Khaki is a colour I've always wanted to incorporate into my wardrobe a little more and I'm obsessed with this jacket. I love the boxy, oversized look, especially teamed with the peplum around the bottom with the contrast of the raw hem, so as for it to not be too neat. I love pairing it with brighter, contrasting colours and much more feminine shaped things such as this vintage polka dot dress. This was my christmas dress for a couple of years running and it's just such a beautiful shape and so so comfortable considering how fitted it is.

It was actually this article on farfetch's style guide which inspired me to add some military based fashion to my wardrobe and I'm so glad I have. This jacket goes with absolutely everything I love to wear and adds a new dynamic to my personal style which I just adore.

I'm super excited to pair this jacket with everything striped in my wardrobe especially. I think that the clashing of military style vs more nautical pieces could be really interesting. I also kind of really want my sister to borrow this jacket while she has pink hair, I'm not sure how keen she'd be on the idea but I think her hair would look amazing with this jacket and I sort of wish I was cool* enough for pink hair...

*I am 100% cool enough, I'd just rather stick to blonde for a while.
