For breakfast today I had a bowl of Alphabites which are my new favourite cereal because they're not too sweet! I hate how cereal is the easiest, quickest and most convenient breakfast but that usually it contains such a ridiculous amount of sugar and sweeteners and silly additives you don't need. I don't like super sugary foods anyway but starting the day with something so sugary just doesn't seem sensible to me. It only has 6 ingredients which are naturally high in calcium and potassium and is sweetened with Coconut Blossom Nectar instead of sugar which I find gives it the exact right amount of sweetness!
When I got back from uni at 2.30pm ish I was super hangry (anyone who knows me knows I get grumpy when I've not eaten) so I had leftover Rosemary, Garlic and Tomato Pasta from last night with sweetcorn and Violife 'cheese' whilst watching Gavin and Stacey which was rather delicious. Vegan cheese is frankly usually quite disgusting but I really like Violife a lot and I even eat it alone which considering I wasn't even fond of cheese before I was vegan is saying something! I also had a cup of coffee and some water to get me through the afternoon. (although the coffee didn't work and I did briefly fall asleep...)
Dinner was a bit random, I wasn't particularly hungry and I didn't want to have what I had planned to make so I made a variation on Sausage and Mash... In that I had cabbage with apple, mash potato, two Linda McCartney sausages and a mushroom and spinach gravy thing? I made it all up and it was surprisingly really good and I enjoyed it, I was scared by the ingredients I used but it turned out good, I now have faith in myself!
Ignore how unattractive my fluorescent ice cream bowls are and how unattractive my pudding actually looks but I had a slice of home made vegan pumpkin pie with nice cream and maple syrup and it was delightful!
I hope you enjoy my food blog posts, It is slightly annoying that the sun sets early and there's no natural light to take pictures of my food past a certain point but I'm not sure it would be acceptable to just post half of what I ate in a day... Let me know if you liked this post and would like to see more and possibly if you'd prefer a what I ate vlog because I realised it would be so much easier to actually talk about my food as it's being eaten than writing about it at the end of the day!
