Home for Christmas

On Friday the 5th December my parents and two of my brothers came and collected me, and far too much of my stuff from university to come home for Christmas which I was far too excited about. I was up at the crack of dawn, finishing packing and tidying despite not getting into bed until 4am the night before, I don't think I'd ever been so awake on so little sleep.

I am over the moon to be home although I do feel slightly like I've got nothing to do at times. I've also realised in the past week that I'm far older than my actual age at times. My Mum keeps telling my sister that we're middle aged because I've been listening to the Michael Bublé Christmas album on repeat and my sister asked for a Radio Times as a present...

Jumper- Topshop / Dress - Next / Boots - Dr Martens

Christmas also means it's acceptable to burn candles and wear massive jumpers with every outfit which is my favourite and possibly one of few reasons I adore winter. This jumper is one of my new favourites, it's sooooooo cosy and soft and the colour matches my hair perfectly at the moment which is completely unintentional but possibly why I love it so much, I have been wearing it with everything and under all my coats when I go anywhere, I don't think I'll get bored of it any time soon.

Lips - BarryM 121

I always seem to go for a Red or Orange lip in winter, I think a red lip can go with any outfit and makes me look like I've made a reasonable amount of effort even if I happen to be wearing the slouchiest, comfiest, probably-needs-a-wash jumper that I've worn every day for the past month which I definitely need!

Necklace- Urban Outfitters

I've left most of my jewellery at Uni over Christmas, apart from what I wear on a daily basis and when I came home I had this pretty little choker waiting for me which I'm just totally in love with. Tattoo chokers aren't very me and I think are too often worn wrong but this isn't at all offensive even with the most laid back outfit, I like to have understated necklaces that I can wear with everything.

Is anyone else home for Christmas, or excited about it?

  3. I love this outfit! I totally agree, big, cozy sweaters are the best thing about Winter :) I also really love your necklace!
I'm home from college as well, and it makes Christmas seem even better this year! I think it's just because I don't get to spend that much time at home anymore, so it's really special to be home for the holiday season.
